NSC Scholarships are generously provided by the Nevada State College Foundation. More information on NSC Foundation scholarships can be found at NSC Foundation Scholarships.
NSC will provide up to $1000 per year to students who receive a scholarship from an outside agency (non-NSC & non-NSHE). Additional criteria is 2.75 or higher GPA, and full-time enrollment. Private Donor must be an officially recognized, licensed for profit or non-profit organization. Donor must send scholarship check to the NSC Cashier's Office with disbursement instructions. There is no match for awards issued by the State of Nevada (Millenium), the Nevada System of Higher Education or NSC. The match will be automatically applied during the semester after the scholarship funds are received from the outside agency.

Students transferring from a NSHE community college with an AA, AB, or AS degree are awarded a scholarship upon admission to NSC in the semester immediately following AA, AB, or AS degree completion. Students are awarded $1,000. This scholarship is awarded to qualified transfer students based on the following criteria:
1. 2.75 to 3.24 cumulative college GPA
2. Admission application must be submitted by April 31st (Nov 15).
3. Must accept scholarship by June 15th (Dec 15).
4. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student.
Nevada State College supports and encourages the application and enrollment of academically gifted students. Students who present qualifying academic credentials in their admission application are awarded the Scorpion Scholarship upon admission to the College. There is no separate application for the program and these awards are exclusive of NSC Foundation scholarships. Students who do not maintain eligibility are no longer eligible for the merit program. Students do not move down a level if GPA falls into a lower category, they are no longer eligible.
Presidential Level
New Freshmen - The Presidential Level scholarship awards students $5,000 per year for four years of study to new freshmen entering the semester immediately following high school graduation. This $20,000 scholarship is awarded to qualified freshmen based on the following criteria:
1. 3.75 and above unweighted cumulative high school GPA;
2. Admission application must be submitted by April 31st (Nov 15).
3. Must accept scholarship by June 15th (Dec 15).
4. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student.
The award is renewable provided the student maintains full-time enrollment and a 3.75 cumulative NSC GPA. Up to 20 new freshmen will be awarded students per academic year.
Transfer Students – students transferring from a NSHE community college with an AA, AB, or AS degree are awarded the Scorpion Scholarship, Presidential Level upon admission to NSC in the semester immediately following AA, AB, or AS degree completion. Students are awarded $5,000 per year for two years of study up to a maximum of $10,000. This scholarship is awarded to qualified transfer students based on the following criteria:
1. 3.75 and above cumulative college GPA.
2. Admission application must be submitted by April 31st (Nov 15).
3. Must accept scholarship by June 15th (Dec 15).
4. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student. The award is renewable provided the student maintains full-time enrollment and a 3.75 cumulative NSC GPA. Up to 10 new transfer graduates will be awarded per academic year.
Scorpion Level
New Freshmen - The Scorpion Level provides $3,000 per year for four years of study to new freshmen entering the semester immediately following high school graduation. This $12,000 scholarship is awarded to qualified freshmen based on the following criteria:
1. 3.50 to 3.74 unweighted cumulative high school GPA. 2. Admission application must be submitted by April 31st (Nov 15). 3. Must accept scholarship by June 15th (Dec 15). 4. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student. The award is renewable provided the student full-time enrollment and a 3.50 cumulative NSC GPA. Up to 20 new freshmen will be awarded students per academic year.
Transfer Students – students transferring from a NSHE community college with an AA, AB, or AS degree are awarded the Scorpion Level upon admission to NSC in the semester immediately following AA, AB, or AS degree completion. Students are awarded $3,000 per year for two years of study up to a maximum of $6,000. This scholarship is awarded to qualified transfer students based on the following criteria:
1. 3.50 to 3.74 cumulative college GPA.
2. Admission application must be submitted by April 31st (Nov 15).
3. Must accept scholarship by June 15th (Dec 15).
4. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student. The award is renewable provided the student maintains full-time enrollment and a 3.50 cumulative NSC GPA . Up to 10 new transfer graduates will be awarded per academic year.
Black and Gold Level
New Freshmen - The Black and Gold Level provides $1,000 per year for four years of study to new freshmen entering the semester immediately following high school graduation. This $4,000 scholarship is awarded to qualified freshmen based on the following criteria:
1. 3.25 to 3.49 unweighted cumulative high school GPA.
2. Admission application must be submitted by April 31st (Nov 15).
3. Must accept scholarship by June 15th (Dec 15).
4. Must enroll as a full-time, degree-seeking student. The award is renewable provided the student maintains full-time enrollment and a 3.25 cumulative NSC GPA. Up to 20 new freshmen will be awarded students per academic year.

NSC will award $1000 per year for students that held an officer position in any officially recognized high school student organization; have a 2.75 high school GPA, and is enrolled at NSC full-time.
Please submit a letter from a high schoool official that can validate your leadership role in the student organizaton for which you were an officer.
