Message from President Bart Patterson

I would like to welcome you to Nevada State College where we will soon celebrate our 10th anniversary.  NSC was established in 2002 as Nevada's first mid-tier, four-year, public institution as part of the Nevada System of Higher Education.  As the only mid-tier institution, NSC is well positioned to meet the unique needs of a growing cultural and diverse population in southern Nevada.  NSC is dedicated to providing quality education to the next generation of professionals who will become the leaders of the State of Nevada.

NSC's faculty and staff are acknowledged for continuous innovation and creativity in teaching and working with students.  The full-time and adjunct faculty are teacher-scholars who provide excellent instruction and serve as mentors to students.  Our staff is committed to quality customer service to create a caring climate to help every individual be successful regardless of life circumstances.

Over the past few years, NSC has realized significant growth in enrollment to nearly 3,200 students today.  NSC has graduated approximately 1,400 students with bachelor degrees from the Schools of Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences and Nursing therefore expanding the educated workforce in Nevada.
