Giving to the Library

The Nevada State College Libraries would like to thank you for considering us. Your gift will help us continue to offer our students and our community the best academic services possible.

However, due to space concerns and processing costs, not all donated materials are added to our collection. Those materials that are not added will be sold or discarded.

Prior to the official acceptance of any materials, all donations shall abide by the following:

  • A citation list will be presented to the NSC Library for review. The citation list will include author, title, publication year, and condition.
  • Delivery of all materials is the responsibility of the donor unless otherwise negotiated by the Director of Library Services.
  • Selection and retention of gift items is determined by the Director of Library Services. Collections with conditional acceptance clauses will not be considered by the NSC Library.
  • Acceptance priority is given to new academic hardcover or paper cover titles.
  • The NSC Library, as a general rule does not accept periodicals with the exception of non-digitized local periodicals.
