Nevada State Student Alliance Boards

The Nevada State Student Alliance is an organization comprised of five separate boards, each consisting of four senators and a chairperson, and each serving a separate function.

What are those boards and what functions do they serve? How can you get more involved? We’ve answered each of these questions for individual organizations below.

The following is a list of those boards and the corresponding representatives.

The Student Organizations Board

This board has the authority to give and revoke charters for student organizations with a majority vote. Members are also responsible for creating a comfortable forum setting where members of the other student organizations feel safe in expressing collective concerns and those concerns can be addressed. The Programming Board

The  programming board is responsible for planning and overseeing all Nevada State Student Alliance events. For more information, please contact Amanda Sanchez, Chair of Programming, at asanchez1709@gmail.com.

The Budget and Finance Board

This board is responsible for developing and monitoring the budget for the Nevada State Student Alliance. Members also serve as record keepers and monitor how monies are spent. For more information, please contact Jeraldine Virina, Chair of Budget & Finance, at jeraldinevirina@yahoo.com. 

The Public Relations Board

This board is responsible for developing any public relations projects for the Nevada State Student Alliance, including all marketing efforts. For more information, please contact Greg Ross, Chair of Public Relations, at gregrossjr@gmail.com.

The Capital Improvement Board
