Transfer Applicants

Admission to Nevada State College as a transfer student is based on the evaluation of the student’s academic record. To be admitted as a transfer student, the student must have earned at least twelve (12) transferrable credits with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00.

Students are required to submit ALL transcripts of all work completed after high school, regardless of intention to transfer work. All transcripts submitted must be official, meaning they must be received in a sealed envelope, from the issuing institution.

Academic preparation:
A student must have a minimum of 12 transferable credits from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. If a student has less than 12 credits completed, the admission will be based on the student’s high school record. Please see the Freshman Applicant page for the requirements.

Transfer credit:
Courses completed at other institutions will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis at the time of admission. Each student will be sent a Degree Audit Reporting System report, indicating the courses transferred and to what requirements they apply, if any.

Military credit:
For students who wish to use military credit towards admission credit and ultimately graduation credit, an official transcript from Army/ACE Registry Transcript System, Community College of the Air Force or Sailor/Marine/ACE Registry Transcript must be sent to Nevada State College Office of Admissions.
