Jobs and Internships

Job Board

The Nevada State College Job Board is a great place to start looking for positions because employers who post jobs here are already looking to recruit qualified students or recent graduates from Nevada State College to meet their staffing needs.  The Job Board provides detailed listings of part-time jobs, full-time employment and available internships and can be found in every building on campus, including Dawson, BW1, and BW2.

Internships

No two internships are the same.  Some are paid while others are unpaid; some are for a specified period like a summer internship while some are for extended periods of time.  One benefit to completing an internship while attending school is that many employers are willing to be flexible about schedules because they know they’ve hired a degree-seeking student.  Whatever the details of the assignment, internships provide a great opportunity to gain valuable, marketable skills.

Nevada State College lists all of the internship opportunities that employers have advertised with us on the Job Board.  But don’t stop there when looking for an internship. Use other resources to land the perfect opportunity: ask faculty members, search websites and contact professional organizations.

Employer-Student Connections

The Career Center provides potential employers with an opportunity to meet students on campus through Career Fairs and On-Campus Interview programs.  Details for these events and more are listed on our Events Calendar.

Career Fairs - Want to introduce yourself to many employers in a short amount of time?  Would you like to learn more about local and regional companies looking to hire NSC graduates?  Visit our next career fair with resumes in hand and begin to make connections that will help you land your next job.
