Heritage Center

The Heritage Center offers students, faculty and staff with opportunities to participate in programs and activities that celebrate our community's diversity and enrich our understanding of each other.  The Heritage Center is creating learning opportunities for social identity development, the advancement of social justice issues, and offers a place that is safe, welcoming and inclusive to all members of the Nevada State College learning community.

The Heritage Center presents "brown bag" discussions on topics of high interest or controversy, observes monthly Heritage and History Celebrations, provides mentoring and coordinates cultural heritage festivities.

The Heritage Center honors and illuminates the contributions of all people and assists students in reaching their academic, community and personal potential. The Heritage Center is a place where members of the Nevada State College community can express their feelings and share meaningful experiences related to diversity and the human experience.

Through the Heritage Center, Nevada State College strengthens itself as a global college and raises awareness of its community and global connections. In order to build a stronger community and campus life, the Heritage Center seeks active participation from everyone at Nevada State College.
