Eligibility

Any student who would like to receive C.L.A.S.S. services is encouraged to contact the C.L.A.S.S. office as soon as he or she is accepted to Nevada State College. Students are responsible for self-identifying and providing the college with verification of their disability by providing documentation from an appropriate credentialed professional. The documentation must substantiate limitations(s) to a major life activity. As an example, in order to establish need for accommodation, documentation for a learning disability must include a complete adult-based (18 years of age or older) psycho-educational or medical assessment. The C.L.A.S.S. office will then interpret the evaluation and determine the need for appropriate accommodation. Supplemental assessment may be required to justify the student’s request for a specific accommodation.
