Dawson Campus

Located in the foothills of Henderson, the Dawson building is the current home of the School of Liberals Arts and Sciences. It includes a computer lab, classrooms, the Tutoring Center, a modern library, the bookstore where students can get their textbooks and the Great Hall, a popular gathering place for students. This is the building where Nevada State College got its start in 2002 as the first four-year state college in Nevada. Located in the Dawson building, the Great Hall is a spacious comfortable lounge area for students to study and socialize. As one of the focal points for student life at Nevada State College, the Great Hall includes meeting space for various student organizations. It is also home to the office of ScorpionÕs Tale, NSCÕs student newspaper, and the Nevada State Student Alliance, the collegeÕs student government.
