The computer monitors would allow easier viewing and multitasking and would assist students with visual disabilities. |

The collections would provide students with educational multi-media materials and would help improve student education in the sciences using visual and interactive resources. |

These collections would be used for students in film, history and literature studies |

| Speech Pathology Assessment Amount: $1,250 for five |
This tool is used by Speech Pathologists in their treatment of patients. These are important resources for NSC's Speech Pathology program which allow students to gain experience administering future patient assessments. |
| Small Database Subscription Amount: $3,000 each (average) |
A database is a collection of full-text journals. These journals are linked together by a common subject matter and are easily searchable. They are an efficient way of locating valuable, peer-reviewed information. |
| Laptops Amount: $5,000 |
Amount reflects purchase of approximately 10 laptops |
| Monograph Collection Amount: $5,000 |
A monograph collection is a series of books related to a single subject, such as a set of 400 books in Nursing or a set of 500 books on poetry. |
| SMARTboard Amount: $5,000 |
A SMARTboard is an educational tool that allows an instructor to teach electronic resources on a large "touch screen". Tapping the screen is equivalent to clicking a mouse. The SMARTboard can take over all of the computers in a classroom and lead students through various exercises. |
| Large Database Subscription Amount: $15,000 each (average) |
