Office of Instructional Technology Services
The Office of Instructional Technology (InTech) serves the Nevada State College academic community along a continuum of three categories of service: Instructional Services, Course Development Services, and Course Management System Services. These services are directly related to the InTech Mission and are demonstrated through our projects.
Instructional Services

Documentation and reference material for training and professional development in current and emerging instructional technologies.

Individual and group consultations for delivering learning through technology.

Broad range of guidance and support to faculty and staff with use of instructional technologies.

Researching and promoting current and emerging learning technologies to facilitate the furthering of excellence in teaching.
Course Development Services

Assessing faculty and staff needs at the intersection of technology and learning for all courses.

Using instructional design principles to promote effective course development policy and practice.

Multimedia and other content development for all courses.

Advancement of barrier-free teaching and learning with technology for all.
Course Management System Services

Managing the Course Management System (CMS). As of Fall 2006, the Nevada State College CMS is the Blackboard Learning System™ - Vista Enterprise System, which is referred to as WebCampus.

Working with the Nevada Learning Network™ to provide direction for growth and ensure unfettered access and stability for all users.

User, course and institutional account creation and maintenance.

Course maintenance during terms and post-term course archival and restoration.
