Student Loan Counseling & Master Promissory Note
All students who borrow Federal Stafford Loans at Nevada State College must complete loan counseling before funds can disburse to the student’s fee account. Once students complete this requirement they will not be required to attend another loan session while at Nevada State College unless they change their lender.
At this time, Nevada State College requires students to access the EdFund EdTest for completion of their on-line Entrance Counseling module. This module will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. At the end of the counseling module students take a short quiz to complete this requirement. Students can print the acknowledgement that indicates successful completion of the session and bring it to the NSC Student Financial Services office. Students may also opt to have the acknowledgement sent to the school electronically.
Entrance Counseling
Students who are first time loan borrowers at Nevada State College are required to attend an Entrance Counseling session on-line to ensure their understanding of their rights and responsibilities as a loan borrower. Entrance counseling is completed on-line through the EdFund website. Select the "entrance" option.
Exit Counseling
Students who withdraw from all Nevada State College courses, drop below 6 NSC credits and/or graduate must complete exit counseling. SFSS will send students who meet at least one of these classifications an exit packet with detailed instructions. Exit counseling is completed on-line through the EdFund website. Select the "exit" option.

Master Promissory Note
Students are required to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on-line if they have not already done so for the lender they have chosen to fund their student loans. Students are advised to understand the purpose of a Master Promissory Note by reading the instructions carefully. NSC processes loans through the lenders listed below. If your lender is not listed below, please check with SFSS and we will make every effort possible to get set-up with the lender of your choice in order to process your loans. Please allow two weeks for processing.
Access your MPN by selecting the link to your lender.
