Freshmen or First Time College Students

Congratulations on being admission to Nevada State College! We are always glad to welcome new students. Going to college is an exciting time for freshmen, btu we know that it can also be confusing. This is a time that impacts not only the student, but also family, friends, and others close to you. The goal of New Student Orientation is to make this transition as informative, smooth, and fun as possible for everyone involved.

In-Person Orientation is a one day, five hour event that offers many opportunities that will enhance students' educational careers at Nevada State. Those opportunities include becoming acclimated to the new school environment, meeting professors and staff, receiving academic advising, and meeting existing students. New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new freshmen and must be completed in person. **Please note: All In-Person Orientation sessions are being held at the Basic/Water II Building at 311 S Water St., Henderson, NV 89015 in Downtown Henderson.**

Note: New freshmen with special circumstances may be approved for Online Orientation. If Online Orientation is selected, the Office of Admissions & Orientation will contact the student regarding their special circumstances. If the Online Orientation request is approved, the student will then receive an e-mail approval for the online option which includes instructions on how to enter the orientation session.

Orientation is for admitted students only. If you are unsure of your application status, please call the Office of Admission at (702) 992-2130 prior to registering for an orientation session.
