Graduation and Licensing
The School of Education recommends that all students complete the graduation application with the Nevada State College Office of the Registrar two semesters prior to graduating. The intent of this is to assist students with deficiencies early enough to allow for changes in class scheduling.
In order to graduate with a bachelors degree, a student must:
- Complete a minimum of 128 credits of college course work.
- Meet all the requirements of the College core curriculum.
- Meet all the requirements of the School of Education.
- Have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
Teaching License
The teaching license and Speech and Language endorsement is granted by the Nevada Department of Education. To receive the teaching license and endorsement, students must obtain and complete an application from the Nevada Department of Education website or from the following location:Department of Education
