Graduation and Licensing

The School of Education recommends that all students complete the graduation application with the Nevada State College Office of the Registrar two semesters prior to graduating.  The intent of this is to assist students with deficiencies early enough to allow for changes in class scheduling. 

In order to graduate with a bachelors degree, a student must:

Teaching License

The teaching license and Speech and Language endorsement is granted by the Nevada Department of Education.  To receive the teaching license and endorsement, students must obtain and complete an application from the Nevada Department of Education website or from the following location:

Please note: The student is responsible for arranging and forwarding all required documentation (official transcripts, PPST scores, Praxis II scores, etc.).  For more information contact the Department of Education office.

Licensure Recommendations

The Teacher Preparation Program is responsible for recommending students for licensure to the Nevada Department of Education who have successfully completed all program requirements.
