Welcome to Nevada State College's School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. The School of Liberal Arts & Sciences is the largest center for teaching and learning on the Nevada State College campus and offers students an array of majors in interdisciplinary programs, humanities, physical sciences, and social sciences.
Mission Statement
The School of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Nevada State College is committed to providing an ability- based education rooted in the humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences. Liberal Arts & Sciences emphasizes quality learning experiences that will allow students to become independent thinkers and lifelong learners who are able to express themselves in effective and creative ways. Courses in Liberal Arts & Sciences will provide students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a variety of contexts and to demonstrate their learning in an active manner. The degree programs in the Liberal Arts & Sciences department emphasize superior communication skills, critical thinking, and effective citizenship.
