Dr. Shearer received her MA and PhD from the University of Florida and has spent her time since graduating as a Lecturer at the University of Oklahoma. Her specialty is late Medieval literature, with an emphasis on Chaucer and 14th-century British literature. She also examines contemporary questions of gender, womanhood, and sexuality as well as the myriad ways in which they can be found in and applied to the contents of even the dustiest tome.
