Field Experiences

All education majors in Nevada State College School of Education will participate in a planned series of field experiences as an important part of their training.  Field experiences will consist of classroom observation, individual tutoring, small group work and large group instruction in local elementary and secondary schools. The School of Education requires from 5 to 20 hours of field experiences for each education course.  Field experiences begin with the first education course and conclude with student teaching.  This enables education students to receive guidance and feedback as they apply educational theory and practice in school settings.

Field Experience Handbook
Education students will use the handbook as a guide throughout field experiences.
