Welcome to the School of Education
Thank you very much for your interest in Nevada State College’s School of Education. Teaching is a profession that truly touches the future of every student. The rewards you receive from teaching are returned, ten fold, as you observe the awakening of knowledge in the lives of children and young adults.
At Nevada State College, the School of Education offers degrees in Elementary Education, with concentrations in Special Education and Bilingual Education. Majors in History, Biology, Math, English and Environmental Science with concentrations in Secondary Education are also offered. The newest addition, a Bachelors of Science in Speech Pathology, is the first such program offered in Southern Nevada. Our programs are designed around a framework of best practice research that instills the skills, knowledge, and art of teaching as well as the practical application experiences necessary to prepare quality teachers. Courses are offered in a variety of formats to include online, accelerated, day, and evenings.
New students may contact Wendi Brown for an advising session. We look forward to working with you!
