Teacher Certification - Special Education

Nevada State College offers upper-division course work leading to teacher certification in Special Education for individuals who have earned their Bachelor of Arts or Science in any area.  These courses are offered in a variety of formats to include online, accelerated, day and evenings.

A teaching certificate from Nevada State College will prepare you for employment opportunities in Clark County School District, each school district in the state of Nevada, as well as school districts throughout the country.

Prerequisites:
  1. Bachelors degree with an overall GPA 2.0 or higher.
  2. Passing score on the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST or Praxis I).
  3. Admittance into the School of Education.
