About the School of Education

Nevada State College’s School of Education offers four-year bachelors degree programs preparing students to teach at the elementary or secondary levels. Concentrations at the elementary level include bilingual education and special education. Combining the core curriculum and a major in Mathematics, Biology, Environmental and Resource Science, History, or English would prepare students for a career in secondary education. Additionally, NSC offers non-traditional teacher preparation programs to include the Alternative Route to Licensure certification opportunities in mathematics and three teacher certificate programs.
