This story chronicles the decisions five generations of women in Tademy’s family made in order to give each of their children the best life possible. The Cell by Stephen King An awesome book that deals with the end of the world, or more like the "wiping of humanity." Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. and John Archambault Funtastic way of learning the alphabet and lower and uppercase letters.

Girls Night In by Meg Cabot, Jennifer Weiner, Sophie Kinsella, et.al The Giver by Lois Lowry Available at NSC Basic Library / call number PZ7 .L9673 Gi 1993 An amazing book based on a life lived without color.
Le Petit Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupery This is an excellent book to read to see how you've changed view points throughout life. As a child reading this book, you see certain actions by adults as unnecessary. As an adult reading this book, you find that your mind has changed to accommodate better reasoning and find a purpose in your deliberate actions that have there own consequences.
Lettin It All Hang Out: An Autobiography by RuPaul Charles A fun, twisted little adventure through one mans eyes to become a super model to the world. RuPaul gives tips on how to be fierce and glamorous in everyday life on a budget.
Night by Ellie Wiesel
Roughing it! by Mark Twain: The wily adventures of America’s favorite satirist during his brief stay in Nevada, California and Hawaii. The chapters on his stay in Nevada’s own Carson City and Virginia City are worth it alone but don’t miss the burning saga at both Mono Lake and Lake Bigler—better known as Lake Tahoe!

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini This book is about everlasting friendship, male bonding, and hardships of living in Afghanistan. It's a tear jerker, get a box of tissues.
The Robber Bride by Margaret Atwood
The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway Available at NSC Dawson Library / call number PS3515 .E37 S8 1996 It is almost impossible to pick just one book by Hemingway to read, but if you only read one go for The Sun Also Rises.
Terrorists or Freedom Fighters?: Reflections on the Liberation of Animals by Steven Best and Anthony J., II Nocella This book is a hard hitting real life story of ALF and PETA to save animals from abuse and neglect. Sometimes animal lovers will go to extremes to stop the suffering inflicted by other countries, make-up companies, and test labs.
