InterLibrary Loan

InterLibrary Loan (which we often call "ILL") is a way of getting books from libraries all across the country.  Essentially, our library borrows the book from another library and then lends it to you.  This means that if a library in the United States owns an item, you’ve got a good chance of getting it.

To request an InterLibrary Loan, compile this information about the book(s) you’d like:
1. Title
2. Author
3. Publisher
4. Year Published

Then, put it all in an email and send it to library@nsc.nevada.edu

Please include your name and your Hnumber

Some things to remember:

1. ILLs can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, so be sure to request the item early.
2. ILLs have an increased fine structure, so be sure to return them on time.
3. Many items are available via ILL, but some items, such as DVDs or rare books can be very difficult to obtain.
