Taking Placement Tests

Nevada State College’s placement exams take approximately two hours to complete and consist of a Math exam and an online English exam. Calculators are not permitted to be used during the Math exam.

Students are encouraged to take the placement exams as soon as they are officially admitted to the college and prior to seeing an Academic Advisor.

Please contact the Placement Coordinator to schedule an appointment for placement testing. Placement exams are administered at Nevada State College’s Dawson Building in the Tutoring Center.
