What is a DARs?
Any student that has previously earned college credits, may receive credit at Nevada State College for many of the courses taken at previous institutions.
After a student is admitted and official transcripts are received by Nevada State College, the Office of Admissions and the Registrar begins the process of determining which courses are transferable towards an intended degree program. Please be patient as this process does take some time.
This evaluation, called an official degree audit report (or DARs) should be included in a new student's included admissions packet. If you have previously earned college credits, but did not receive a DARs report, contact the Office of Admissions. Once you are able to log into your Student Account, you will also be able to print your DARs report.
It is highly recommended that students review their DARs reports with an Academic Advisor as there may be some courses that did not articulate correctly. And if you do review it on your own and find any discrepancies on your DARs, it is important that you contact your Academic Advisor immediately.
Be sure to plan ahead because this is an important aspect of your admissions process. Until official transcripts from other schools of higher education are evaluated, even an admitted student will not be able to register for classes.
