Academic Advising

All new students must attend a new student orientation session either in person or online. Contact the Office of Admissions and Orientation for more information.

Students interested in receiving financial aid must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All questions regarding financial aid and/or scholarships, must be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services and Scholarships.

All new students must obtain Academic Advising either online, in person or by phone prior to registration. If you still have questions for an advisor after visiting the Online Advisor, click here to find more information or email an Advisor.

Students can register for courses online through their Student Account. If you have any questions about registration, contact the Office of the Registrar.

Required books and materials can be purchased at the Nevada State Bookstore. Students should bring a copy of their class schedule when they buy books.

Tuition and fees can be paid either in person or online. Students can pay for their courses online from their Student Account. Students can pay in person at the following campuses of the College of Southern Nevada: Cheyenne, Henderson or West Charleston. A deferment plan is available that allows students to pay half of their tuition up front and the other half in two additional installments. There is more information about this in the Student Account.
