Message from the Provost
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Nevada State College. The faculty and staff are dedicated to upholding the academic mission of the college and are committed to promoting a supportive atmosphere that facilitates learning and enhancement necessary for student success.
The undergraduates at Nevada State College are a diverse group comprised of non-traditional and first generation students who typically work to pay for their education. We, therefore, place the highest value on each individual educational experience, instruction, and learning assessment. Not only do we have high expectations for our students, we also have high expectations for our faculty and staff. Our faculty members are gifted instructors who have a sound knowledge of their disciplines and are excellent models of responsibility and accountability. The faculty and staff are enthusiastic and committed to providing the highest quality of instruction, mentoring and advising services to every student. Most importantly, our faculty is devoted to working individually with students inside and outside the classroom.
The Office of the Provost is also dedicated to achieving continued excellence in all of the college’s academic programs and initiatives as well as providing academic leadership to the faculty and staff. We are committed to providing our students with opportunities for career and personal advancement, continuing education, and service to our community. The ultimate goal at Nevada State College is to promote a supportive atmosphere that facilitates learning and enhancement.
