Psychology Technician
- Assists psychiatrists and licensed psychologists with their work in client assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Manage case files and help review psychological test results and DSM-IV diagnoses for the management and treatment of patients/clients
Case Manager
- Teaches clients to manage their own cases and provide support in times of crisis
- Gathers information, makes assessments, and monitors services
- Advocates for services and determine how to allocate important resources such as housing
Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor in Nevada
- Performs professional duties in the assessment, case management, education, and treatment of clients with drug abuse and addiction issues
- Performs related administrative duties and recordkeeping
- Must complete 2 years full time employment (4000 hours) under clinical supervision in alcohol and drug abuse counseling
- If the student completes NSC’s Counseling Minor, the number of required hours of employment experience may be reduced to 1500 hours

- Advises students on their academic choices and assists with career placement

- Works in a K-12 school system dealing with issues of student adjustment in the class room such as student counseling, IQ testing, and managing behavior problems
Counseling Psychology
- Counseling psychologists work in the community dealing with everyday problems such as depression, marriage counseling, divorce, and adjustment
Clinical Psychology
- Clinical psychologists examine and treat mental illnesses
