Academic Affairs Committee 
Chair:  Kathy Herbst-Damm (kathryn.damm@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Addresses issues related to faculty workload, course schedules, office hours, and any other item related to requirements of faculty time. 

Fiscal Affairs Committee
Chair: Kebret Kebede (kebret.kebede@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Addresses financial issues brought up by faculty or by the Executive Budget Committee of the institution. Also will generate policy, in coordination with Academic Affairs, for the appointment of Department Chairs (or equivalent Directors), Asssistant Deans, and Deans.

Bylaws and Code Committee
Chair: Jim Labuda (Jim.labuda@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Evaluates and recommends changes to NSC Faculty Senate Bylaws and NSC Bylaws. 

Curriculum Committee
Chair: Gwen Sharp 
Description: Reviews all changes to the curriculum.

Facilities and Campus Planning Committee 
Chair: Ruby Wertz (ruby.wertz@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Ensures faculty input as building space is allocated, changed, or planned

Senate Handbook Committee
Chair: Kathy Herbst-Damm (kathryn.damm@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Will enhance and make any necessary changes to the Faculty Senate Handbook that was created in 2009-2010.

Grievance Committee 
Chair:  Neil Woolf (Neil.woolf@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Develops procedures for filing grievances, ensuring that these procedures are appropriate for both Administrative and Academic Faculty. 

Library Advisory Board
Chair: Kate Hahn (Kate.Hahn@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Serves to advise the Library Director in library matters relating to policies, collections, services, and long-range planning for continued development and growth of NSC Library.

Nominations and Elections Committee
Chair: Jim LaBuda (jim.labuda@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Manages all Faculty Senate elections and will generate a yearly calendar for the election process.

Promotions and Tenure Committee
Chair: Amy Chaffin (amy.chaffin@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Develops and evaluates the criteria and procedures for promotion and tenure.

Sabbatical Leave Committee 
Chair: Joanna Shearer (joanna.shearer@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Develops policies and procedures for sabbatical, which is being reinstated in NSHE this year. Will also examine current policies on other types of leave, such as parental leave. 

Strategic Planning Committee 
Chair: Grace Thomson (grace.thomson@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Continues to develop the Faculty Senate strategic plan to assist the Senate in planning and accountability.

Ad-Hoc Committee on Adjunct Relations Committee
Chair: Shirli Brautbar (shirli.brautbar@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Works to ensure that Adjunct faculty have the resources and support in place necessary to serve NSC's mission at the highest level. This group will coordinate with Academic Affairs, Facilities and Campus Planning, and ByLaws and Code; it may work to develop new policies concerning part-time faculty as well.

Ad-Hoc Committee on Administrative Faculty Committee
Chair: Sebern Coleman (sebern.coleman@nsc.nevada.edu)
Description: Since the Faculty Senate represents both Academic and Administrative faculty, this group will work to engage and represent the administrative faculty more deeply and will work to solicit the opinions and needs of the administrative faculty on campus in particular.
