Comment on NSC's New Website

You may have noticed that NSC recently launched its new website.

We’re pleased to report that the site more accurately reflects Nevada State College’s mission and visual identity. You will find that the site provides a more intuitive approach to navigation, improved search functionality, and in-depth information.

Our new site contains the following improvements:

  • New simplified content structure built around NSC’s key audiences: prospective and current students, alumni, parents, prospective and current donors, community stakeholders, and prospective and current faculty and staff.
  • Complete integration with RedDot, a highly robust enterprise web content management system, which streamlines campus-wide publishing workflows.
  • New, improved search engine solution through Google Search Appliance that provides users a more refined search experience.
  • Expanded digital asset archive and enhanced management system.
  • New campus-wide calendaring system that allows users to stay informed more easily with important events and deadlines.
  • RSS functionality

The new site is the product of countless hours spent by NSC’s Web Communications Committee, a group of faculty, staff and students tasked with improving the College’s web presence. This group began the site redesign process in early 2008.
