President's Awards

The President’s Office is continually seeking opportunities to recognize and reward excellence within the NSC community. The Office of the President administers several awards programs which have been developed to identify both internal and external members of our educational community who, through their outstanding work and dedication, have supported and strengthened the mission of NSC.

President’s Medal

The Nevada State College President’s Medal is an honor conferred on individuals who have proven extraordinary commitment to the mission of Nevada State College. The President’s Cabinet identifies and selects the recipients then presents the award at the annual Spring Commencement ceremony. The award, presented annually since 2007, is one of the highest honors the college bestows.

iTeach Awards

Nevada State College’s core values are designed to create an institutional culture that empowers faculty, staff, and students to pursue initiatives that impact all (teaching and non-teaching) areas of the institution. Awards are presented in each of the following six core values categories:
I – Innovation
T – Teaching Excellence
E – Economic Development
A – Assessment
C – Customer Service
H – Heritage
A unit award is also given to the department/school/unit that best exemplifies the entirety of the iTeach core values.

Nevada State College’s Stars Award program allows members of the college community to recognize their colleagues for outstanding contributions and dedication to Nevada State College.
