New or First Year Students

Congratulations on your admission to Nevada State College! Attending college is an exciting time, but we know that it also can be confusing. This is a time that impacts not only the student, but also family, friends and others close to you. The goal of the New Student Orientation & Registration Program is to make this transition as informative, smooth and fun as possible for everyone involved.

The Student Orientation & Registration Program is a half-day program designed to prepare new first year students for their first semester at NSC. You will learn about academic requirements and financial aid, receive academic advising and be able to register for your classes. This program is required for all new first year students to attend in order to register for classes.  

New Sessions for new students admitted for the Fall 2012 semester will be released in March.

Orientation is for admitted students only. If you are unsure of your application status, please contact the Office of Admissions at 702.992.2130 prior to registering for an orientation session.
