Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)

The accelerated track is a one-year program especially designed for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in another field. This track is designed for completion in 12 months – from August to August – and is a challenging way to embark on a new and rewarding career in the nursing profession. This is a very intense, full-time program and is best suited for you if you, along with your significant others and family members, can accommodate a rigorous schedule.

As a prospective student, you need to apply and be admitted to Nevada State College and indicate on your application you wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). You will then be identified as a pre-nursing major. You will remain a pre-nursing student until specific credits are completed, you may apply directly to the School of Nursing.

Once admitted into the School of Nursing, you will work toward completing your degree and prepare for licensure.

Once you graduate from the School of Nursing, you are qualified to take the Registered Nurse Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN). Upon passing the NCLEX-RN, you may begin your career with public health agencies, schools, hospitals and other health care organizations.
