Teaching is a profession that truly reaches the future with every student. The rewards you receive from teaching are returned tenfold as you observe the awakening of knowledge in the lives of children and young adults.
The mission of School of Education’s Teacher Preparation Program is to educate the next generation of professionals for the State of Nevada. Nowhere in the state is this need more urgent than in the field of teaching. Understanding and embracing this need, we are committed to providing our students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical, best-practice skills necessary to be a successful and confident teacher.
The Teacher Preparation Program offers degrees in elementary education, with concentration in special education and bilingual education and secondary education with concentrations in history, biology, math, English and environmental and resource science. Additionally, we offer a bachelor degree in education of deaf and hard of hearing and endorsement opportunities in autism and English as a second language.
