Welcome to the School of Education at Nevada State College. We take great pride in our Teacher Preparation Program and our graduates. Whether your goal is to become an elementary teacher, work with special needs students, be a speech pathologist, or share your content expertise with secondary students, our goal is to provide you with the highest quality learning experiences. The Teacher Preparation Program is designed around a framework of best practice and research that instills the skills, knowledge, and art of teaching, as well as the practical application experiences necessary to prepare quality teachers.

Teaching is a rewarding and challenging profession. You are commended for seeking a career in education. You bring enthusiasm to the program and profession. Your preparation at Nevada State College will include the required coursework and field experiences. You will need to provide the commitment, dedication and compassion necessary to be a successful teacher.

There are a variety of resources available to you that outline the procedures for admission to the School of Education, Praxis exams, faculty introductions, student teaching requirements, and a host of other topics.
