Who Studies at NSC?

Nevada State College opened its doors in 2002 with just 176 students. Today, more than 2,600 students are learning and thriving here, and NSC has become the fastest-growing institution of higher learning in the state.

Students come to NSC from a broad array of ethnic and cultural backgrounds; in fact, nearly half of our students are of non-Caucasian descent. They also represent different ages and stages of life, with a sizable number of adult learners and career changers among the student body.

But for all their diversity, students at NSC share some important characteristics, including a pioneering spirit and the desire to join a vibrant community of learners. At NSC, they find the energy of a youthful college where they can write their own history—as well as the guidance they need to succeed.
